I am glad to hear that you will never play an alpha or beta again and never buy Early Access again. Good. Because you clearly do not understand the concept that "Early Access" and "Alpha/Beta" are by definition, NOT THE FINAL PRODUCT. Things change.
You're darn right that the upside is mostly for the developer. It's also somewhat for the player as well in that they will be getting a product which is generally much better than it would have been without the feedback.
