Hey.

So I picked the yellow fish to try and he gave me a Alertness mixture and he said if I mix that with a Herbalist tool and a void tainted yellowback I would get an item.

So I found a mortar and pestle, the fish and I those two with the mixture and for some reason it says its wrong.

Am I doing something wrong?

Any help?

Buy the mix there and use it on their bong (Dreamer pipe)

So I have the same questions as the op, but when I try and use the pipe with the fish and mixture, it fails. same when using a mortar.

what am I missing?

Just combine the fish and mixture first, no other tools. You should get very potent drug.

I made the very potent drug and used it on the dream pipe, and i just got the buff but not quest completion

you have to do it with 3 of your characters to end the quest.
