I searched and found this topic :

In which the user asks if it's possible to play coop between GoG and Steam, and Raze_Larian answers
"Yes (though it looks like that doesn't matter any more)."

What does "it doesn't matter" means ?
Is it possible ? I don't know if all of my friends will buy it on GoG, and I prefer this platform, but want to play with them.

Yes, there is a Direct Connect option for this

Okay, how does it work ?

on your side:
1. click "Story"
2. click "Multiplayer"
3. click "Create"
4. click "Connectivity"
5. check "Direct Connections" and use the button to copy your Server-ID to the clipboard
6. send your Server-ID to your friend

on your friends side:
1. click "Story"
2. click "Multiplayer"
3. click "Direct Connect"
4. paste the received Server-ID
5. click "Accept"

if everything was correct your friend should now be in your lobby
