i'm wondering the pro's and con's of both i'm wondering if making a rogue with a offhanded shield to give him more survivability would defeat the purpose of making them a rogue in the first place.

also I heard stealth kinda sucks is this true?

also what are good skills for someone stealthy? I know definitely scoundrel and probably poly, but i'm wondering what a good 3rd skill would be summoning perhaps?

also I saw a ability that is like captain america shield throw is that attached to warfare or the shield itself?

DO NOT use stealth. Seriously, its useless. Don´t pick guerilla - its super useless too.

Aaaand well... with offhand dagger, you deal most damage, with offhand shield, you survive more, easy as that laugh

BUT you can go with shield, and use some shield talents from warfare tree, and almost all warfare skills are benefiting from finesse if you have dagger in main hand, so it in fact utilizes very well - such rogue could be potentially extremely good at stripping enemy armor into quick knockdowns, and would have absolutely unparalled mobility (upto 4 mobility skills!) while also having most ranged skills than is usual which can definitely help.

Poly is great secondary school for rogue too, especially thanks to increasing survivability.

Summoning doesnt really benefit you in any way imo

I once ran a rogue with shield, it's nice for the mobility. The shield throw is a Warfare skill.

I'm still in act 1 and have a DW Rogue. That dude dies constantly unless 1-2 of my other characters are baby sitting him. Even if I prioritize his gear he just gets his armors chewed through so fast.

In some fights I can do fine, but most fights i'm rezzing him at the end after he takes someone out. I've started jumping him in, bursting, then on turn 2 wasting the 1AP to equip a shield so I can start using the "shield up" skill

Sure my damage goes down, but my damage when i'm dead is 0 :-)

Well that is one possibility... The other one is to just pick faraway target, ideally mage or ranger on some high ground position - teleportstrike to him, focus him and at the end of the turn I either knock him down with warfare, or I use chameleon to vanish, so they cant focus me (until they are busy with my other party members).

my rogue never died so far, and he is full damage dual wield still. I of course have fortify and magic shell on my other chars to help him.

The rogue can inflict stasuses through armour with the proper enchants on the weapons.
It's better to dual wield.

I play my rogue with DW and it does a lot of damage. Usually since he has high initiative i delay the turn so when every opponent finish his turn, i play 2 turns in a row. I use the teleport/backstab or i go behind him with the skill that provides some movement without using AP. Then i do enough damage to either kill or have have the opponent at less than 50%. Also if you have the opportunists skill it can help by teleporting to a range/caster so when he tries to move at this turn he will get 1 more backstab for free.
As far as the 1h shield i will test it since it sounds intresting!
Skilling in stealth is a big fail so far or maybe i havent figure it out on how to play a stealth rogue!!!
