I have the steam version, and my friends have the GOG one. My GOG friends have no trouble joining each other, this is clearly a steam-gog issue.
At first, DC worked with the in-game generated code. Then it stopped working, I think it was shut down or something?
My friend port forwarded and I was able to join via IP address.
Now, that no longer works as well. My game freezes and I can only end the task via task manager, it completely locks up my screen. Not the best client. Anyone know any other way to join them?
A bit disappointing not being able to play much lately just because of the primitive online system, I hope this is fixed soon because this game is great :(
