You can even replace lucian, thats abit lore destroying consider lucian was still a divine in Divinity 2.

Just saying, not a big deal to me personally.

we don't know what is going to happen between now and then, he could easily come back to life and retain his divinity

I actually find it that funny after I say goodbye to everyone, it probably makes a better ending than the current epilogue for me to just find a spot to hide from everyone eye on that ship and start chugging all the poison bottle I have in my inventory and just kill myself.

It's not even out of character at that point, for without love, even the divine rather die.

I lone wolfed it with lohse and my own player made character. Right at the end of the game she died in the last fight and I didn't have a revival scroll to pick her up. After my badass knight cleaned up the rest of the guys he ascended. After that I was on the boat and I didn't see her, the ending never mentioned her at all. It looked like she was gone and was actually dead. Given the cathartic mood of the ending it actually fit really well and made me really sad.

After all the time with the Red Prince, the game doesn't offer me the choice to just go live with him in the Ancient Empire. Just the generic "I'll remember the fond moments" type of goodbye. It would have been perfect if they actually add a romance-based ending narration at the end instead of going "WHAT YOU DO MAN WHAT YOU DO UP TO YOU WHAT YOU DO".

did you kill sadha during his quest or let her live and take the dragonling?

i would like to know if he just has the same ending regardless of decisions made throughout the story (excluding the endgame decisions like ascending) or if it's different depending on what happens during his personal quest

I let her live and get the dragonling. I'm sure the ending will be different as I assume the game triggers what ending narration you get based on the quest journal After all, if Sadha is dead, he can't be a dragon daddy as mentioned in the ending.

I actually considered going into the game and secretly kill Sadha before going for the last boss but considering how he dreams for so long to have dragon children, I rather have my char commit suicide in secret after they say goodbye than to have him suffer in the name of love. Too painful to go and try it out so someone else will have to do it.

I may be a min-maxer but I take companion and relationship very seriously to the point I will quit a game mid way if it's poorly written.

If I knew NTR was a thing here, I wouldn't even finish the game to save me from the pain and just stick to drawing fanart of the journey along the way as I work on my own stories.

I wonder if the whole epilogue is moddable.

if larian doesn't change it themselves, i would imagine you could mod the epilogue

I wanted to know how do you kill sadha without the red prince turning on you?

when i did it, my character was a lizard

i offered to hatch the egg myself and they agreed that i could be trusted to do it. when i interacted with the egg i screwed up on one of the steps for hatching it, so the egg was either destroyed or the hatched dragon attacked me. either way, the red prince fights sadha and the enemies that appear, and i don't remember tanking any attitude when she does die

it's not really clear to me that sadha is actually a good character, so i don't feel quite as bad about this outcome

I imagine 2 way.

1) Send red prince to somewhere far away and kill Sadha while he's not around after the quest is over.

2) Use the transformation mask to bug the character and prevent the quest log from updating.

Not 100% sure if they will work though.

i imagine if you just switch over to playing as the red prince and start attacking her, it will let you kill her without killing the prince

you can also just cast a spell or shoot an arrow at the egg

she yells at you and attacks you

i feel bad for doing this, but considering the types of enemies that rise to attack you alongside her i get the impression she's not the girl for my prince

edit: to be fair, nobody makes out with my red lizard right in front of me and escapes horrorsleep

I'm about ready to laugh at my friends who started playing and decided that Red prince was the most interesting char and start saying random stuffs like "The writer must be a scaly or something to devote so much to his character and story".

I'm waiting for them to put 70 hours into the game first so they can too feel my pain.

Always when characters have egos like that, they have strong character development. Reminds me of Ringabell from Bravely Default.

There is a reason why super nice characters that always try real hard and character with the biggest ego but later just turn sarcastic and only show his egotistic side when joking around will always end up as the most popular/liked character.

And character like Ifan just feel boring and dull after awhile.

It's a shame they had to go and do it with his ending, kinda like Alistair from Dragon age 1 but at least that one gave me the options to fight and actually won.

While someone does the modding, I will just draw some gay lizard comic to extend the ending to fill the hole in my heart and just hope Larian reconsider working on the Epilogue. The companions are the most memorable thing in the games (because the plot is really weak and the villains are really generic) so it sucks for the game to just end like this, extremely open ended but with the custom characters rewritten out of everything.
