At first, I tended to agree with you - a few dead Magisters makes my job a whole lot easier.
But then I started thinking: remember Magister Sang (the one who was poisoned in the ruins)? Or...uh...I think it was Magister Ames (the one that had been blinded)? Or what about Magister Atusa?
Yes, there are some real messed up Magisters out there, no doubt. But I think that most of them (like many of the people) are probably just scared. Sure there will always be those who abuse that fear *cough*Dallis*cough* and try to control others with it, but in general I think that these people are just afraid of the horrific nightmare demons that seem to be cropping up and tearing people apart wherever Sourcerer's are found.
On the other hand, this cook is a loose cannon. And if you think that she's only killing Magisters, just remember that if you confront her about it, she has no qualms killing you. Even if you tell her that you agree with what she's doing, she still seems quite eager to add you to her stew. I think leaving her to her antics is probably more dangerous for everybody - how long until she decides to branch out and hurt other people?
That said, I actually thought this was a good quest. Mostly because it did not have a clear right/wrong answer. And who cares about quest rewards? I don't play this game for the rewards, I get the rewards from playing the game.
