1. take the item that you want to repair out of your inventory and put it on the ground.

2. stand next to it. as close as possible.

3. make sure you have repair selected as the skill in use.

4. right-click on the item. (you will see the pointer turn into a hammer)

5. left-click on the item again.

note: the level of repair that you are affects how well the item is repaired. pesonally i think repair is a waste of skill points. its not very expensive to have Geoff in the ars maginca (whatever) repair stuff for yo and skill points are very valuble.

Thank you very much for the quick reply

one thing i have found out though ..if i right click on the repair symbol after i have left clicked on it to put it in icon tray along the bottom the whole of the bottom icon tray dissappears ) and i have to reload to get it back ( i have updated ver 1.34)
so i have to do it just as you guys said or whoosh icons go

thanks again
if you ever need a hand
See you in S.W.G. OR Everquest 2

This can happen if you right-click on the icon tray. Just right-click again on the three bars on the bottom and it reappears. It is not a bug, just a feature.

From the tech faq

10) Problem: I’ve lost my interface and it’s been replaced by three lines

Not a bug but a feature. Try right clicking on the three lines – you will see that your interface bar pops back up again. If you right click again on the interface bar, you will see it be replaced by the three bars. The three bars represent your health, mana and stamina.

See? Jolie is correct.

You don't need to right-click the Repair icon to repair something. You just need to right-click anywhere. And you can repair items that are in your inventory or that are equiped, not just those on the ground.

I didn't encounter crashes when I laid my item on the ground and repaired it. Some gamers had problems by repairing equipped stuff, probably when encumbered (weight bug).
