ok, which is best, andis there better? I am at the point where i am tired of collecting charms and i want to use them, but not if there are better items i can save themfor - and, is the wastland half way or more than half way to the end of game? i just hate to find out that i should have done smething but end up getting too far too soon.

Wastelands after you have gathered the council of 7, do all the quests you can and start using your charms you will get better ones thru the game and better weapons and armour to put them in...don't wait till later it could spoil your fun now!...go for the dragon armour <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Here's my opinion, take it for what it's worth.

In my experience in the game, the silver armor I got was far superior to the dragon armor. It had better stats all the way around. Higher armor rating, 5 charm slots "sockets", agility bonus, str bonus, etc. I have to admit, I spent an aweful long time reloading trying to get really good Armor of Larian with it. I guess my odds of getting such good armor (silver) on the first try was exceptionally good. Big disappointment trying for good Larian armor.

The dragon set is nice, but you don't get any kind of full set bonus, that I seen anyway. Each peice has "sockets" that are randomly generated, so you could possibly end up with 25 sockets. BUT...any of the other items you find have the same chance.

Overall, I would have to say it's all going to come down to personal preference. If you took the time to collect or find all of the dragon set, by all means use it. If your content with using other items, that's fine too.

As far as charms go and using them....you will find better quality charms in the wastelands. I completed the game the first time with only charms in my boots, belt, amulet, gloves and one ring. I would have to count them up, but I believe I ended up with around 12-15 "sockets" not used. By that time, my warrior was strong enough he didn't need alot of help from charms anyway.

Smaug, if you have the complete Dragon armour set, you get the spell Elemental strike permanently. After that you can remove it and wear the Larian armour as I did, too <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />. You still have the spell then.

The Wasteland is more than 90% of the way through the game. Its where I started using more charms cause the better ones are available there (both as purchases and rewards).

i have the dragon armor and i am immune to almost everything except physical damage and even then my opponate has to be very strong. it almost makes the game boring because i cant hardly get hurt.

Stats are random, but I found the dragon armour better than the silver armour in my game. What I got, using several re-loads for each;

How do you get the Silver Armor of Larian again. I remeber reading something about 4 maps and 2002 gold + 5 ales. If you could please say that again it would make it easier. I found that <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" /> my unenhanced armor was better than my breastplace <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/down.gif" alt="" /> with the gem in it. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mage.gif" alt="" />. That was just me, but others I've talked to had the enhanced version better. Just keep realoding untill it is perfect. Did that with the royal sword. + 5 strength 12 durribility +40 vitality I've had better though, With frost.
