That's what I'm trying to use "Metheeka" for. She is obviously our connection - along with Lynn - back to the "real" world. I don't know if Lynn has been struck with the memory loss just like we have; but I get the impression she may have been sent with us by mistake. Therefore, she may be just as confused and lost as we are.
I don't know why we would do these quests, other than Metheeka told me that many people would die if we didn't and we're 'honourable' by nature (especially you Mr. Paladin <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />). Remember, we don't know we're not from here now - we just remember bits and pieces from the other world (but that's just a dream to us - kind of like your evil twin <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />).
