i just beat the game, and i am kinda sad about it, i want to see more of the relationship of my character and his companions post ascension (or lack of). saying goodbye to the red prince and lohse was terribly sad, who else felt this?

The ending kinda leave a bad taste in my mouth with how the romance suddenly ends so that the narrator can give my char the recorded open ending narration.

After all the time with the Red Prince, the game doesn't offer me the choice to just go live with him in the Ancient Empire. Just the generic "I'll remember the fond moments" type of goodbye. It would have been perfect if they actually add a romance-based ending narration at the end instead of going "WHAT YOU DO MAN WHAT YOU DO UP TO YOU WHAT YOU DO".

he offered me the choice to come live with him as his "slave" which i took the "you know what, that sounds wonderful" to me that just sounded like the prince's way of saying, i dont want you to leave. although the narration doesn't change, mostly because the before screen "where are they now" segment did not have the red prince in it. but my romance basically ended with even though i became a god, he took me as his "slave" and my character presumably went with him, though the epilogue ending cutescene does not change

to be honest, is hard to take the ending so seriously when it is really tongue in cheek parody. Stuff like what happend to Justinia and that vendor you saved is just down right hilarious.

I felt the disconnect between my final chat with Sebille on the ship and the ending narration. I asked her what she wants to do next and she said that it completely depends on what I am planning to do next because we are in love and she is not going anywhere without me, and then the narration said that she went to travel the world.

It was good, honestly not much to be expected out of outro. First game outro was beefier, but overall it was the same "was nice working with you, now we go do our shit."

They could at least make the romance dialogue better instead of just "YEAH THAT WAS A GOOD NIGHT HAHAHA".

So much for the "let's do it again later. I hunger for you." convo in Arx.

i wish the outro scene matched the epilogue dialogue. even though i basically went to live with the red prince, the outro was still "and the divine went to live in arx" maybe the outro is bugged because it did not say anything about the red prince

Just add the option for the player to bed the romance partner as a way to end the game with some funny dialogue like the Red prince mentioning how there will be no wine this time or something. At least that will leave me a lot less salty because the current epilogue steps all over the heart of the game that most players will actually care about, the companions.

Considering that the level cap is 30 or something and you can only reach 22 or 23 at best atm, likely.

But with how the game currently works, I really doubt they can just add random stuff here and there since there are 4 ways to end the game and how the race will affect the game ending too.

The only kind of expansion they can probably make is a "Before Fortjoy" story of each char, like Red Prince and his boredom.

it may be difficult, but i dont think its impossible. imagine an expansion where it is after our ascension and we go around the world to rally our companions, or if we decided not to ascend and we have to navigate a world completely changed by an abundance of source. let me hope

The whole ending confuses me about the canon of Divinity.

Does Divinity 2 (Dragon Knight Saga) even happen now or is it retconned and this is where Larian is building from now?
