I thinking of build that uses a staff to attack, but focusing on magic damage, so an up close and personal mage.

I'm new to divinity, so unsure of all the options and interactions, do's and don'ts.

I was thinking a pyro/warfare build seems good with points in two-handed. Take Master of Sparks and Whirlwind to quickly own magic armor and blow up everything in front of you.

But there are other less obvious options that intrigue me, and was wondering if anyone had experience of them, or if in theory they would work.

Like swapping Pyro for Aero, using the touch skills of Aero, and the ability to play with your opponent more with blinds, teleports, vacuums, some polymorph action for movement etc.

What about a Necro option with Decaying Touch? This might be harder to pull off due to the necro tree, but you could add some pyro to this down the line?

What other options for this kind of playstyle are there?

And what are the pro's and cons of say, the Pyro, vs the Aero versions?
