After killing the bandits and confronting Lovrik I decided to fight him but after I kill him my quest log and characters say he fled.

I also have this problem

Same problem. Lovrik also doesn't seem to acknowledge the robbery unless spoken to by the avatar robbed. Also read elsewhere that a backpack is supposed to appear at the end of the bed with your stuff - but it's definitely not there.
