You get to choose the partner at the end of Act 2 and it stays for the rest of Act 3. Romance makes it so that they like you by default (instant support, no persuasion) until I assume you really breaks their quests.
Then Epilogue happens and you go kick a dog out of pure rage.
The Epilogue is that bad?
Romance wise, I will say it, in Fane voice too.
It's shit.
Your partner will go from lusting and loving from you to "Haha I joke with you and goodbye! I go my way now you go your way". Even with the prince dialogue, that's more of a joke or anything. It's soulless. It's generic. It's boring. It has no love. It has no life. You don't step on what makes a journey fulfilling and make it feel like you are left behind.
It's like, imagine a scene where a couple must part way at a train station and instead of the dude running after the train as it leaves to tell the girl how much he loves her and will continue to love her, he just turn his back, take out his phone and go on Tinder searching for a new girl straight away before the damn train even leave the station.
Or to take a lover out for one last goodbye dinner and ask him/her to fully pay for it.
Like, WTF. Did someone coat the stair on the way down with slippery oil?
Ok so before that point i can pretty much go trigger happy with the romances without problems? Are any non companion related relationships considered "romances"?
All you get is a few dialogue in Act 3. That's all. The rest completely forget they love you and just stick with the generic attitude-base dialogue saying stuffs like "YOU CAN SEE AFFECTION IN IFAN EYES" that you have been reading everytime you say "I should go" to him in Act 2.
