Not if the enemies die first.
And as long as your gears are updated, only shieldbearers will be really tanky compared to everyone else. Some fight might need you to have someone mending shield though because there are other allies you sometime have to protect.
3 rangers + 1 shieldbearer using Hydro and Geo + leadership is probably the easiest comp in the game for any situation since everyone will be too tanky with leadership aura + mending armor + soothing cold while also dealing way too much damage with the 3 rangers using highest level crossbow.
