I think each of you should post (on this sidebar) precisely what magical changes you have experienced since you first passed through the invisible barrier. Those magics should be tainted magic from the Evil Wizard, and we should work toward removing the taint before we move onward.
For instance, jvb's sword's ability to talk is not evil ... but the ancient spirit within the sword is under the influence of the evil magic (for now) and must be convinced to resist the evil wizard's/monster's influence.
