Okay, what worked for me was to talk to the female dwarf in the Wrecker's Cave, the one who's standing by the work bench (one of your characters gets teleported there after the Voidwoken eat you). She tells Ifan about Hannag, after which the conversation triggers.

I went back there (like... DAYS later, lol), she was still there... Ifan asked to talk with her... QUEST UPDATED
