jvb I can edit my post too, but I went with Luc fracturing (not destroying) your sword because he was possessed. I think we can fix it (your sword) later by finding a master smith. I don't know that breaking your sword destroyed the ancient spirit inside your sword at all. I'm not even sure 'it' the spirit was who was talking to you the whole time - maybe the evil wizard was making it talk in its sleep? Basically using what already existed and 'twisting' it for its own goals?
