Just go around and try the different merchants to see who you may have sold them to. If you cannot find them, honestly, it is not the end of the world. Those gloves are nifty to begin with but if due course you will find various other methods which are equal/better substitutes so do not worry about it.
Not to spoil anything, but it seems that you are still in Act 1. When you leave Act 1, make sure you have a careful rummage around the ship and you find something with a similar function.
