I am currenly playing the game with my friend and after we completed act 1 and got to the ship with the remaining party members my avatar couldn't interact with them anymore (Lohse and Prince). We tried to rehire these characters but they won't talk with me and say that they already have a leader. Only my friend who is host of the game can interract with them. Is there any way for me to communicate with other party members or i can only see my friends talk?

You will be able to talk to them again post ship. It has to do with whoever recruited them and in my opinion is a bit buggy. I get why they did it this way, and it's to prevent someone coming in and releasing a companion or ruining a relationship with one on your game (assuming you have people dropping in and out a lot). But in games where you are campaigning with a buddy it is irksome.
