Larian Studios Forums Divinity: Original Sin 2 Divinity - Original Sin 2 - Bugs & Technical Problems [SPOILER] huge glitch - alexander & gareth act 3

There is a dialogue between Alexander & Gareth @ Nameless Isle where bishop says something like: "Gareth, lower your weapon, listen to me" and Gareth answers smth like: "No, I've heard enough". they keep repeating these phrases endlessly and I can't talk to any of them. can't click "talk" to Alexander at all, as for Gareth (he's standing with weapons unsheathed) I can press "talk" button but nothing happens.

my companions can't talk too.
I bought game on steam if that matters.
if I simply kill Alexander - can't talk with Gareth after that too. he is just standing nearby in different place (now calm & without weapons).

previous save is like 5 ago before lol

Similar thing here, on the revenge route.

Gareth has his weapon drawn, but if I click on him he laments about Johnathan and makes a sad gesture.

If I double click him, I get dialogue where he thinks he's on Lady Vengeance during Act 2, and that I talked him out of revenge. If I double click him again after that, he still thinks he's on the ship and that I talked him out of revenge, but now he seems to think it's the start of Act 3 and we just arrived. Never goes past that.

e-mailed support 2 weeks ago with save file attached - no reply.

I got Gareth to stand down and return to the ship, but now he's bugged, standing in a weapon ready stance, unresponsive and clicking on him does nothing.
