Sorry, I just woke up - I won't be able to be out here long this morning, because I have to do my grocery shopping, etc (yuck - all the fun stuff) before going back to work tomorrow.

Since it was my original idea for the story let me tell you what I thought:

The basic storyline was: A group of diehard Divinity fans were invited to visit Larian for a conference and for some reason Lar sent us all, including Lynn, to this new world full of dragons , and wizards and Orcs and Dwarfs, etc.

Are we really here to save a world or are we just here to develop a game for Larian? We don't know, now do we?

We don't completely remember our old life (it would be a real distraction and we'd never be totally dedicated to fighting the Evil here if we thought it was a game - ie we couldn't die - we'd just wake up).

The goal was to find out what was wrong here, get our quests, and save the world. In my mind this requires a lot of character development, fighting battles when appropriate, and listening when another character gives a plot twist. Example: BG has tried and tried to get us to find out why we have a bounty on our heads. He's also tried to get us to go back to the castle and get treasures and things and get us to go after Aloicious. I've tried to introduce Metheeka as a prominant NPC, with a direct link to Lar, again no one has even asked who or what she is.

Character development requires a lot of personal interaction and yes that's not as much fun as a battle ( you know I like both) and yes it might be a little boring. I haven't felt comfortable taking up a half page to talk - but we need to! If it was a RL experience, what would we do?

So now we have several main quests (7 Talismans from 7 Wizards), we have several side quests too (Jolie's wife), which is good. But you guys are still running off across the sea without solving the quest in our own back yard so to speak.

So you can see how far we have come from our original idea? We tend to latch on to an idea, forget everything else and run off in a completely different direction from where we started. What I need to know is what everyone wants to do? To stop it from being chaos we have to have some order.

Is our primary quest to get back to the real world?
To save this world from the 7 Evil Wizards and free it from tyranny?

Or is it to just ramble around in support of one character's development, ignoring the main plot?
