Larian Studios Forums Divinity: Original Sin 2 Divinity - Original Sin 2 - Bugs & Technical Problems Local multiplayer is present but not usable

Hi, this game allows 2 player co op which works fine. Try pressing join on a third controller though. You get a player, an inventory, a UI, the whole thing. But your character does not get it's own camera and the UI is misplaced. Please add 2 more cameras so we can play 4 player local? Cos i mean like all that functionality is already there? I've actually played it on 3 player for a bit already even though it's all broken

Do you mean on 1 screen? yeah, 2 players is the limit. If you want to go 3/4 player you need a second PC unfortunately.

Yes i realise the game officially supports only 2 player splitscreen. What i'm saying is it already supports 4 splitcreen, as in it allows a third player to join and play, it's just a bit broken.

And that's probably why it's not supported. They may add the support in later. But who knows.

It is there though and works if you have controllers give it a try. The 2 player limit seems very arbitrary once you've played a bit on 3 player, more like a bug than a missing feature. I play PC connected to a living room TV so splitscreen is a killer feature for me and i was thrilled it's there. This could actually be the best local multiplayer game ever made so it's frustrating i can't use the feature that's already in the game. Online is fun but it's just not the same
