Hey there,

Wanted to make a suggestion about books in the game. I love picking up everything and reading all the books I find to make sure I don't miss out on any tips or interesting lore. However there are hundreds of books in the game, and also multiple copies of the same ones. Keeping track of which ones I already picked or read is close to impossible, so I would end up just stashing and re-reading almost every book I find just to be sure.

What I would love to see is an in-game lexicon that would collect all the books I read. I would imagine it as an in-game encyclopaedia with blank pages that fill up when you read books and sorts them out by type or series (imagine having all of Hauberts tomes in one place neatly segregated). Additionally a tag "read" would appear on books I've already read and added to the lexicon.

This would let me to rest assured that I don't need to pick up and re-read that one book for the 10th time, and let me easily revisit all of them, or read a series of books from first to the last volume easily.

What you think?

Thanks for reading.

Yes !

Thought about that also all the time. It keeps bugging me... Dragon Age did that too, loved it.
Would love to see something like that in DOS2

I love your idea. Nothing is more frustrating than finding a book and pausing to open and close it for quest triggers, or try to start reading the entire thing in the hopes of finding something interesting just to realise you read it already, twice.
