Okay so I haven't started running a campaign yet but something I read in another post suggested that once you start playing a campaign you won't be able to add more levels etc to it without restarting the campaign. This would be hard to do since you can't transfer characters between campaigns.

So for anyone that has ran campaigns is this true?

Once you started a campaign you can only add content to that specific instance of the campaign by adding to the saved game.
Any changes you make to the "prepared game" will only show on a new game.

Hi!

Yes, currently if you start a play session - you won't be able to add addons/mods to running session. However, we working on the fix allowing you to add mods to an existing GM session. This will be added in later patches.

Good to hear that part is in the works. What about adding more scenes? Planning on running a long term campaign and it would be hard to plan for everyrhing the pkayers might do and you can't sokit it into different campaignt due to no character export.

Do you just load up the campaign like you ate playing without the players logged in to keep adding scenes?

Ehr...
How come I can add mods/Add-ons to an excisting save by activating them in the main menu and then loading the save?

this is a bug smile We want to separate regular modding logic from GM sessions logic. This will be fixed soon, and then we will provide manual way to select and plug-in addons to active session so mods for main campaign and for active gm sessions won't be overlapped

Yep, play mode has same set of functionalities as a prepare mode. So you can just load saved session and continue working on it. Only difference that changes you will made won't be reflected in campaign you prepared before and you will already have player characters. I.e. when you starting a session with some campaign - you creating a copy of that campaign and using it for your session.
This is done because every session can go different way based on the player choices so it could be that changes for one session are not needed for another

Please don't fix the bug without providing the manual way at the same time.
My campaign won't be able to continue without the ability to add new content, or the abilty to export/import/export and import characters back into an excisting save again.
