Lets say i have two characters in my party and they are unchained and not in combat.

If i force one to walk onto a patch of noxious ground such as poison cloud. Is there a way to prevent said character from automatically running out of the poison cloud when i switch control to the other character?

No matter what when switching control to a different party member the AI immediately runs the other member out of the hazardous area.

I know there are only niche reasons for doing this but it seems like there would be a way to force them to stand ground unless otherwise told to move.

Or ! Or or... or you can just make your characters go through the bad stuff one by one without having to let them stand their ground for no reason.

Or just play undead characters, because fuck poisons.

You seem to be missing the point. That being, I WANT them to stand in the hazardous area. It's not an issue of trying to path them through. It's that i want to know if the functionality exists to make them stay put without being under player control regardless of what their situation is. I take it though that such functionality doesn't exist.

As for undead, they play well with poison and death fog of course but not other hazards so... smile

They won't stay in a hazard if they are unchained? I haven't tried this.
