Wow. Congrats forum complainers, the Bone Widow was nerfed as you deemed it overpowered. For those who actually played beyond Act 2 when you first get it, it wasn't. It didn't need changed. I quit caring about using it after a day of having it, but it didn't need changed at all.

1. You need two into Necromancy to even use it. That's a low enough investment that you could have one for each character in your group. It was also one of the very few reasons to even bother with Necromancy in the first place aside from Living on the Edge. Most of the Necromancy spells are terrible.

2. The base damage without any into Summoning was simply "okay". It had a lot of health, but was 100% CC bait for stun, freeze and especially charm without buffing it with Armor of Frost too. The best thing about it was that it alllowed you to have a 3AP, long range distraction for a turn or two. That's it. To truly shine it required a heavy investment into the Summoning school, and if you did that, you still had three better options in most cases.

Meanwhile, while many bugs were fixed, many QoL issues were not addressed, crafting seems like it's going to remain as bad as it is until the console release and physical class domination is here to stay.
