I found a major problem that I felt I needed to catalog so that the devs can see it since I don't know if the problem is directly related with the fact that the root template folders seem to be gone.

The stats for creating a new object won't recognize the Root template GUID for it. When trying to copy and paste it directly, it disappears before you can even save, and opening the drop down menu actually shows all the root template folders like they existed before the update. (With no way to add a new object or folder to them).

Was in the regular process of creating a new skill and a skillbook (the skillbook was the one to not take the new GUID) for it when I encountered this.

If anyone that is having the folders gone issue, could you reproduce the steps to see if you get it too?

This is a major issue since without the object's GUID in the stat page for the book, I can't make the skill physically spawn in the world in a container or an NPC trader.

Really unfortunate they broke such an imperative part of the Divinity Engine, and on a Friday so it won't be fixed anytime soon. No modding for now. x:

Bump, gotta keep the reported issues in plain sight for if and when the devs get a chance to see them.

Hi,

Take a look at my reply to this post, which should fix the root template selector in the stats editor as well

Ah, it sure did fix it for some of the newer skillers. It seems like my problem here was also a user error to a certain degree since I found the problem a while ago. Had to sift through the drop down's categorization for Object GUIDs in the stats to manually locate my roottemplate (no space) folder which was not being picked up at all by the search bar. An honest mistake since it doesn't let me manually input the GUID either. A bit tricky to find with the dropdown menu too.

All in all, I'm glad it wasn't anything super serious that was causing the issues. There still seem to be a few unexplained bugs, but I have faith you guys'll find them.
