Ifan Ben-Mezd got arrested and I managed to free him. But he lost all of his items. I can't find them anywhere?

I assumed they would be in a chest in the cells, but there is one "unknown" chest I cannot open.

As you enter the prison there are 2 chests next to the wall just ahead of you. One of them is it. If by "I cannot open" you meant it's locked, then... of course it is. The chief guy there has the key.

Thanks. I think I have discovered a bug then!

I already had the key and I gave it to Iran Ben-Medz before he got arrested. Now I assume the key is in that box.

Doesn't have to be a bug. Sometimes there are consequences you can't control.
Like having the keys for your escape in a lockbox and realizing that you also locked in the keys to the lock box. Let me tell you... THAT is annoying.

Can we really expect that every time something goes against us, we have to asume it is a bug?

It's not a bug...just a bum deal. Sounds like if you figure out how to get the box open you will have a great campfire story for your toons to tell each other.
