So I'm in the sewers accessed from the marketplace and just beyond my reach is a book of Restoration... not a must-have-item, per se, but I'd like it nonetheless.

Is there a way to reach it without telekinesis? I don't have any skill points invested in telekinesis, and don't know if I want to put any... Can rope be used to catch items beyond my grasp? What can one do with rope anyways?

I'd really appreciate some feedback. later.

Meh.

You need Telekinesis lvl 1. Maybe you can buy an item with this ability/spell?

Ropes are of NO use - exception: in one area you need them, but just those on the ground there.

I maxed Telekinesis with bought spell books (Kistandalius or Blake in Ars Magicana and Corinna or Mpenzak in Verdistis).

What is Telekinesis used for? (Besides getting items that are out of reach.) Because in the starting area, I haven't found any spellbook vendor that sells telekinesis spells.

Mostly it is just for grabbing loot, or the odd lever you can not reach otherwise, etc. I was probably half way through the game before I maxed the spell, checking merchants periodically. Kistandalius or Blake in Ars Magicana and Corinna or Mpenzak in Verdistis are probably the best people to check, and bookcases can rarely contain a spell book.
