after you added the container to the world go to the sidebar and select "Items": https://i.imgur.com/eQ3xkHF.jpg If you do that a small field appears next to "Items" which you need to click. After that you are presented with a dialog where you can select the items you want to add to the container: https://i.imgur.com/UjlvPmz.jpg
