Resurrect members after a tough fight is boring and tideous. Buy scrolls, rez everybody, done. Since there's lots of money, this isn't a problem, and adds no value to the game. The balance is split between "rez during combat" and "rez after fight".

Imagine the following:

- Party member resurrect automatically if dead after the fight
- if everybody is down => game over
- Make resurrection scrolls highly expensive, like 2000 or 10.000 gold
- make crafting them hard and complex
- Give resurrected char 80% HP & Armor

This would promote the res. scroll from a tideous "yeah, let's rez everybody" to an expensive tactical decision, which should be used with care & only during combat.

Because they'd be so freaking expensive, one couldn't use it every fight, but only in those fights, where they are really needed.

So res scrolls would go from taxing you for playing poorly to being a 0-80 heal on party members who went down due to you playing poorly?

Not a fan of the idea personally, I'm afraid. As always with this type of thing my opinion is a firm "don't like it, don't use it" rather than making the game arbitrarily restrictive.
