Well, i went and saw it last night - i must say - i REALLY didn't like it.
What the heck was with that stupid tribal/orgy thing???????
And, i got the part about something was given to Smith from Neo, but, how does that make him able to duplicate himself?????
Those ghost brothers were RETARDED, though i do understand the fact they were a program gone bad...
And, if the oracle is the "mother" of the Matrix, why would she even help all these people? Was she their to make them believe in the profecy?
And, what happens now that Neo opened technically the "wrong" door, as dictated by what he should have chose? Does that mean that maybe the matrix won't be re loaded????
I have a ton of other comments, but can't remeber them all...
One thing to ponder...can Neo and Trinity have children (god knows they have sex often enough!!!!!!!)now they are unplugged? For that matter, can any of the unplugged ones have kids?
Anyway - some of my rant.
All in all, good idea, but kinda cheezy at parts, over all i was pretty disappointed.
Unfortunetly, now i have to see the sequel, cause i do need to know what happens!
Maybe someone has some ideas about my questions....

yes, tribal/orgy thing sucked. i like to think of it as a rave.
smith can duplicate himself now because he was changed...in the first movie neo destroyed him, but now he's back and different. the thing he gave neo was his earpiece, to tell neo that he's 'unplugged' now. someone mentioned he's like a worm now.
the oracle helped people because that was her program. she was supposed to tell them the prophecy, so that the one would go to find the architect.
what will happen now that neo opened the wrong door i believe will be the focus of the third movie.
yes, unplugged people can have children. remember tank and dozer from the first movie? they were born in the 'real world'. so i'm assuming neo and trinity can as well.

I've also been avoiding this topic (and everything else related to this movie, such as reviews and trailers - as I do with every film I intend to see) before seeing it for myself to ensure myself of being surprised by it, and I sure was surprised!

Right after I left I had a feeling of "this film was ok", but the more I think about this film, the better I like it! - Right now, this movie is simply brilliant imo, maybe tomorrow it'll be even better

This is really the kind of movie you should think about, and I think this is the only mistake they've made: all the hype and merchandising make people believe The Matrix trilogy is something else than it really is; it's not what people expect from it and people are disappointed because of that. Moreover, it's a difficult movie, a very difficult one, and in contrast to the first movie, where the (matrix) theory is explained clearly one step at a time, Reloaded casts you in a huge chaos with only clues and pieces you have to put together by yourself... This is not what most people want from a movie, this is also not what we're used to getting from Hollywood.
This Matrix trilogy seems, in a certain way, to be to the action/sf genre what David Lynch is to the thriller: it's more than what it appears to be, and more importantly, it's different from what you'd expect from it...

Many people will disagree with me but I think that what they've done with this sequel is exactly what they should have done - in any way, most people would probably have been disappointed with this sequel anyway, it could never be as overwhelming as the first Matrix was, when all of it was new and never done before. If they had made this a superhero movie with only the Matrix theory from the first movie as a basis, everybody would have said it's a typical sequel, the first movie but more. I think the difficult plot is exactly what makes this movie interesting - the Matrix trilogy will probably become the typical kind of movie(s) of which one group (the majority, from what I'm picking up) hates it, and the other group loves it. Since I love it, I won't complain about that . I wish there were some more hollywood movies like this

my only beef with 'reloaded' was that i think they wrote most of the dialouge around the story. like, they had this great story, now we need to fill it up and flesh it out, i think some parts were weakened by that. but i also know that they had to write stuff that keanu reeves is capable of attempting to act... and thats no small task.
