He "spawns a voidling out of him"? I have no idea what this even is. I thought you were talking about the army of voidlings that might spawn around the scaffold.
The voidling takes 0 damage? That doesn't make sense. It doesn't even sound like a bug. What kind of resistances does it have?
I suppose you could try fleeing, then from outside combat teleport Gwydian out of there... I'm not sure if he will leave combat just because he's far away from it.
