I just can't figure out what the hell I'm supposed to do in there. And no "follow the pipes" was not a sufficient hint. I've retrieved enough boxes, barrels and crates to weigh down every single button, but that was insufficient to open the door with the imp spirit behind it. I have activated permanent haste mode.

I'm out of ideas and I just want to finish this up and move on. So no little teasing hints or telling me to figure it out myself, just explain it to me, please.

Go to the room next to the haste and death fog wheel, then remove the box that opens the door where you came in that room, locking yourself in, then go to the direction opposite from the haste room, there should be a door that looks like it's walled up but it's not actually locked, I kinda just clicked through it and reached the end.

Find the slowdown trigger and turn it off, then you'll have enough time to deactivate the core. Lazy alternative is also that you can double teleport to it if you're feeling cheeky.

You're supposed to talk to the altar. That's your main goal, anyway. If you have already reached the haste switch then the altar is just a short walk from there, behind the glowing orb. The door on the way is not locked. And that should be it.

As for the door in front of the imp spirit, it opens when the door before it is closed (so it's open when you just enter the place, actually). Just move a barrel/box off any switch in the outside room and it'll open.

Thanks, everyone, it's completed now. Just one temple left and then I can move on to the climax of the act.

On my first time I cheesed it accidentally. Just go to the path next to the core. Teleport directly into the area the core is in. You enter combat. Walk up and disable core.

Work smarter not harder lol

It's easy if you have a ranger with tactical retreat. Just cast the ability right at the door and the core is only three steps away upon landing.

You can also fly/teleport from the area you landed initially, and literally follow the pipes. It'll skip past all the puzzles and you can walk straight onto the core.

I just want to add something to this thread I think we're all thinking: Why on earth was a puzzle designed entirely around permanent slow? Why couldn't the core area have slow on it, rather than all of it? It's just a bunch of box puzzles..!
