You don't need to take the mask off to revert him back. You can turn the skill off.
That's not what I meant. Turning him back results in instafights with certain people. You can't talk to him when he's shifted, but you have to find a nice quiet spot to revert him because otherwise you will be attacked.
The main issue is, why can't you talk to him while he's shifted. It makes no sense for him saying "can't talk now".
