I'm using the Steam version. Which was perhaps inadvisable, but I wanted the shiny of the achievements.

No, I would actually advise anyone who can use Steam to do so, the GOG distribution is a pain and easy to make mistakes with installation.

Have you tried uninstalling everything and starting from scratch? If you were playing the EA version and then tried to update to the release version without a clean uninstall and re-install, I think it increased your chances for some resource issues.

I haven't tried that: I'll give it a go... hopefully there won't be some random cruft left over that's making it ctd.

I have Glasses.exe crashes too but only when I exit the Editor. It is not as worse as people having them while working but I'm pitching with those who have those crashes too.

Hey Sashenka,

we are aware of the crash on exit smile It's nothing on your end, just something that gets wrongly removed in code, so don't worry about a faulty installation for that one. You can quickly close the editor with the Force Quit option (ctrl+shift+f4) to avoid the unloading on normal exit.

Sincerely,
Kevin

For some reason, my Divinity Engine 2 doesn't ask me for a DataPath when I first start it after installation, it goes straight to "Glasses" crashing. I made a Config.xml file with the right DataPath and put it in the Divinity Engine 2 folder, but that didn't change anything.

I've tried re-installing the Engine, verified the integrity of the tool files, made sure the Data was downloaded from the DLC tab, disconnected from Steam syncing, cleared the download cache, and still no luck.

I made a small standalone campaign mod for DOS2, 'Treasure Hunters! https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1594027212

I know this is old, but I got same error here. It worked the first time I runned the divinity engine, but next time this happened. Does anyone know how to solve it?
