I played Wizardry 8 for about ten minutes, then uninstalled the game completely. Utter, utter rubbish, IMO.
Poor graphics, no proper view of the party, counter-intuitive interface AND turn-based combat. RPGs do NOT get worse than this...
You must read the manual first to understand the game better. Probably you were not in the mood of playing such kind of game. I was in the mood and i really enjoyed it.
With any RPG, if you have to read the manual, it is a bad game.
That being said, I did read the manual. And I doubt I'll ever be in the mood to play anything that I hated as much as this. It just hits all the wrong notes for me on so many levels.
A shame, as I actually did like the character creation system. That showed promise, and the setting was original and interesting, if the manual is any guide.
Then I started to play the thing, and it all went downhill very fast from there...
