Challenge accepted. I completed that area without using Bless once. Out of combat, I used Vaporize + Pressure Spike to change the permanent Necrofire ground surfaces into 2-turn Necrofire ground surfaces.
In combat there wasn't time to wait around for that, but I had Tornado on two people
So the surfaces were not a problem, and I cleared them out nicely. That fight was a piece of cake.
I think I made a bit of a meal of that fight - it went on for hours. Your way sounds better.
I did notice I had picked up balloons of blessed water somewhere although I've no idea where. Apparently you can craft them from water balloon and source orb but that would be a rather expensive alternative.
