I have a feeling that both of you just ignoring words you have written five minutes ago.
Er, no. I don't think you spent very much time reading the posts; we argued, but reasonably enough, I would think. I did not jump up and down to defend PS:T -- in fact, I argued, generally, for the "linear" RPGs. If you took a few seconds, you might also have noticed that I argued against the attitude toward the label "true RPGs."
I have spent more than enough time reading your posts, I even decided to read one more time to be sure I really didn't miss things. Linearness of RPGs in your conversation was just only one part of a game being good or bad RPG.
I hate to do this, but it seems I will have to copy and paste your own writings to you both.
LBane
Morrowind is far and away the greatest rpg ever made and how you could even argue against it is beyond me...
later
Winterfox
Ever heard of subjectivity? Try it.
Comment: Offence - going personal.
Winterfox if you have ever studied in school you probably know what is it when person going from discussing the topic of the conversation into discussing ability or inability of his opponent to discuss things. (I just have offended you Winter, by doubting your educational level, but this was in no way intentional, just an example)
----
Winterfox
No, your bashing PS:T or not is not in question. It is, rather, your head-hit-wall attitude of "Morrowind is the best game EVAH! How can anyone contradict me?"
----
Isn't this a reason you started all this discussion?
You didn't like the Attitude. So, please don't start telling me here that your conversation had purely an informative and educative purposes, that you were interested to find an Ultimate truth about real RPGs through constructive and peaceful conversation. Thats a lie.
-----
Winterfox
It's simply that dull, that tedious, and totally unfun.
------
Comment: you know that Lbane likes Morrowind. I wonder, what would be your reaction if he would have been writing the same things about the game you like.
-----
Winterfox again
None at all. Problems occur when you try to force your opinion on someone else, or refuse to acknowledge that -- gasp! Shock! Horror! -- people are going to disagree with you. And they have every right to. No, I'm sorry, but your opinion is not the One True Opinion(TM).
------
So, that's all about attitude again.
---
Winterfox
Really. Who made your president of the RPG club? Did someone come up with an RPG bible, with the commandments that everyone must follow? Weird. No one gave me a memo.
----
Is this really conversation where both parties respect?
------
And finally Winterfox
I've come to accept that the definition of "RPG" has changed over time, and not everyone will share my definition of it. Hence, I'm not going to go around preaching, "But this isn't true RPG! You suck! I'm right! You are wrong! Shut up!"
------
Heh, but you would like to show that LBane is doing that, do you?
------
Verdict.
Lbane have written his thoughts, but forgot to place "IMO" in the last paragraph, writing about magnitude of Morrowind.
Winterfox argued or I think the better word attacked, because she felt that LBane had bad attitute and should be taught a lesson. Winter was using dirty offencive tricks on opponent having nothing common to true discussion.

Let's execute people who look like they are going to commit homicide, too.
No, lets do our best to stop them before they do that.
Sure all of us have our own opinions on different games, but we always can express our thoughts on games with respect to each other, right? No lambs here.
Oh, and we were, we were. I didn't find a single personal attack in LBane's posts. We did, however, attack each other's argument, and IMO, arguments are fair game. Just not the person.[/quote]
Yes, again, why do you go personal then? It is all about games, right?
