Dues X was a fps/rpg so they do exsist.If someone wants to think that every game is an rpg because you play as someone else so be it.But i dont agree with that at all.First off to be actually role playing you have to have charecter development which fps games do not have.
2nd.. fps games there are usally no alternate routes to take. its all pretty much straight forward gunnem down type gameplay.rpg games give you many different decisions to make which fps games do not.

i see your point on character developement but the point on there being many different paths to follow is incorrect. All rpgs have one goal which you character or characters must achive in a specific way or the gamewill not be complete. So there is not many different paths to choose if you actually want to complete the game there is consequently only one.
