Warning: video is a bit laggy.

https://youtu.be/YALRvMOdiv0

First time making a game video, not as smooth as I'd liked.

This is doable without glass cannon at level 8 with what a rush talent granting extra ap and higher skill damage, I personally don't see the reason to not take glass cannon and don't feel like waiting till 8.

Decided to play a glass cannon build since I feels like lone wolf is too op, the restrictions I set for my self are, use only unique items, no consumables and no respec.

Only unique items because I never found the random itemization system in this game to be interesting, I like Pillar of Eternity's unique item focused system much more, on the bright side this game have unique items too, so I'm gonna use them all the way.

No consumables because tea items are broken, scrolls bypass skill cooldowns which I don't really like, and I hate consumables in general.

No respec because I feels like the game shouldn't just give free unlimited respecs, maybe a high cost, or a number limit appropriate, since it's pretty stupid to respec 5 thievery to steal, respec 5 persuasion to pass speech checks then respec 5 bartering to sell and buy.

The video should show everything needed for this fight, but questions are welcome.

Probably gonna do a full act 1 guide later.

Another demonstration that this game is far too easy once you know how to combo your skills - well done! I think the only way to make battles like this - and the game as a whole - interesting again is too play with heavy restrictions. I played a solo Mage without any items but still got bored in Act 2 and stopped the run. Its a real pity that the battle mechanics are flawed in so many ways... :o/

However: Have fun! ;o)

Yeah, I agree... Even in my first run(tactician) I noticed my Ranger was roflstomping everything in Act 3 and rerolled him as a Rogue to try to handicap myself a little. I also stopped using the combo of Rain + Thunderstorm because it just melts entire group of enemies.

My second run was using a lot of mods to add QoL and more difficulty to the encounters, also with more encounters. I still got bored of combat by the end of act 2 as it was too easy already.

My third run was on honour mode with two lonewolf characters and it's the easiest run until now, I'm level 7 and can't think of any battle that I'll give my characters trouble as they're so overpowered that I one-shot bosses already or kill them in the first round.

Honestly... I don't really know how to balance this game to be harder. Maybe change the mobility skills to be harder to use and abuse, change the requirement for a lot of skills to be further down their trees and add more enemies to some encounters or give them more abilities.

It took my until my 6th try to find the perfect difficulty balance.

Party of 2, no lone wolf, no glass cannon.

Very enjoyable difficulty curve so far (level 13).
