how did the topic changed?? who is to blame for it?? aniway i haven't played any of the tombraider games either.....or maybe one for 10 minutes or so...so the new topic has somehow become: The definition of an rpg....or somethin....

'Cos people have opinions and standards, and no two are alike.
That's why I tried to change it to best adventure games. It's a little more generalised that way.

about a month i think........i think what i have been doing lately is considered spam.....and still kinda within topic i hope lol......

if a characer goes 'mew' what do you replie? uhm...mew mew??

bwaaah is kinda hard to decide wich rpg is the best rpg ever.....

maybe 'wich rpg has the best story ever' would be a better topic for now....

spam is bad.

if a character? whos a harater? member?

hmm, i think Morrowinds got a good story.

I like games that have multiple endings (even 10 or 20!!!) tho never played one.

baldurs gate dark alliance on ps2

--is not a RPG. No, seriously -- it doesn't even bill itself as one. It's an obvious beat-em-up.

Best story? Easy. PS:T and KotOR. Seconded by the NWN modules Elegia Eternum and Excrucio Eternum. (Yes, they're "amatuer" products, but the story's actually better than a lot of "professional" games out there. Beats ToEE, Dungeon Siege, BG1, Diablo 2, BG2, IWD, et all by a long shot, as far as story's concerned. And it's amazingly immersive.) BG2's story, by itself, isn't that good by my standards. It's the game as a whole -- story, sidequests, characters -- that make it good.

*wakes up in his popcan shelter with his "I hate starwars shirt on"*

Did you know that baluder's gate story was soooooooooo + sooooo good that it was also made into several novels???

You mentioned Diablo 2 in your list of storys but not the glorifed Dark alliance story. Why is that?

*smiles cheerfully* Several novels that get maligned as one of the worst Forgotten Realms novels ever. I have yet to see a single person say anything good about the BG novels. Not that the game's story is bad, but there are better ones. Besides, getting novelizations is hardly a mark of quality or lack thereof. It's just a mark of relative popularity, although ironically -- as I said -- the novelizations themselves are hardly popular.

I haven't played any of the DA games. I won't touch consoles with a ten-foot stick made of dead game developers.

Ya system Shock to was a great game as well almost forgot that one.First and only game other then the first silent hill, that made me almost wet myself very scary.I will also say that sys shock 2 was the hardest game i ever played to.The only thing i didnt really care for was the zombies respawning but the atmosphere was great, and the sound effects are still the creepiest of any game ive ever played.

Final Fantasy 8
the only one i have completed, but i dont think its an rpg, more of a simple adventure/statedgy game like pokemon.

Which one's that? Gauntlet Legends? I thought Dark Legacy would have been better (not having played it, though)?
