Spoilers for Act 4.
In the Dwarven wedding, there's a big fancy cake. Touch it, and a bunch of explosive puppets pop out and start a fight. After they are dead, a guard says that the cake was a present from the Doctor. You can find a note under the cake. It suggests that Queen Justina should be on hand when the cake is cut.
In other words, the Doctor, a demon, was trying to assassinate Justina... probably to prevent her committing genocide on Arx and ruining his favorite playground and killing the souls he likes to snack on.
My question is what the heck was the Doctor doing with puppets? The whole thing about the Doctor is demons. Puppets are most specifically Sanders thing. Sanders is not one of the Doctors thralls, and he certainly doesn't seem like someone who would provide explosive murder dolls for a wedding.
It just seems weird to tie completely unrelated things together.
