Same issue. Using GOG version - After last update all my saves have been corrupted and custom characters can't be loaded or created (loaded games just leave teleporters) even in new profiles with no mods.
Can play with Origin Characters with all my mods (17 total) installed and working correctly, so I suspect it's the update and not the mods.
