Well, your specs are more than enough to run the game. And if you have already been able to play it, it shouldn't be because of visual C++ or some such.

It's hard to tell. I'm no expert but here are my thoughts:
- How long have you been playing the game? Some people reported that their game crashed after Win 10 update. Or were you never able to play more than 30 min - 1 hr?
- Did you continue from a savegame? Or have you only started from the beginning? When you played the game again, did it crash at the exact same location/spot? If so it might be a corrupted save, I guess? Or did it crash after the same amount of play time (30 min - 1 hr)? If it's a corrupted save you can try restarting from the beginning (or reloading earlier saves).
- What kind of error message did you get, if any?
- Have you tried waiting for the game to respond after it froze? The white screen might mean it just hung up for a little bit.
- Could be a controller-related problem? I have no experience with controllers; I'm just trying to include all possibilities. Have you tried playing the game without controllers?
- Try checking some of the graphics options - Display, Resolution, V-Sync. Make sure they're ok. Your specs are very good, so this might not do anything, but we might as well.
