What didn't you like about Deus Ex?
i thought it was very average and this is a flaw. if you wanted a good first person shooter choose rogue spear, if you wanted a good story choose metal gear solid. you see what i'm getting at? basically it was an average fps and an average story so i didnt like it.

Rogue Spear is not an fps its a tactical shooter big friggen difference there pal.Metal Gear Solid what??That game isnt in the least like deus X.Make sure when comparing games there atleast in the same genre.

i was stating that metal gear solid had a good story not that it was similar to deus x dik-weed. also rogue spear is an fps because you are in first person view and you are shooting things, yeah. although it is also a tactical shooter but this is a sub-genre and fps is its main genre.

The storylines in Lunar 1 and 2 are amazing. The gameplay is like your typical final fantasy rpg. The storyline is well worth both gmaes IMO. The anime cinematics are fantastic as well. Highly Recommended.

That's fair. I liked it for the RPG aspects and the ideas they used. The story and shooter qualities of it were rather average. I very much liked the Deadelus/Icarus/Helios aspect, though.

Since its about 60 bucks or more for lunar 1 and at least 40 for lunar 2 (used copies that is) And thats not with any of the special stuff. It might be worth it.

I usually stick to adventure and Strategy games.
But for RPG's the only one I ever played for more than a few hours was Divinity. I really loved the game.

I hate games with mostly key board controls.
At my age memorizing all of the keyboard functions is too much like work.

I think Interplay just published, Bioware actually created BG. Maybe Interplay sold off the rights?

Ultima VII Parts 1 and 2 is top in my list.

This is closely followed by:
Fallout 1 and 2
Planescape Torment
Baldur's Gate 1 and 2
Ultima Underworld 1 and 2

In my humble opinion, Divine Divinity captured the essence of a truly epic and immersive rpg but was let down by it's poor endgame which was a shame really.

I think that sums it up nicely. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" />
