i thought it was very average and this is a flaw. if you wanted a good first person shooter choose rogue spear, if you wanted a good story choose metal gear solid. you see what i'm getting at? basically it was an average fps and an average story so i didnt like it.

Because they feel that Deus Ex did a poor job at being any type of game. It was too generalised and didn't put enough effort into any one field.
Personally, I liked it, but each to their own...
ya but when you have a game that has a multiple genere concept you cant really concentrate all your efforts in one area, or the rest of the game will be lacking.You just cant compare it to a game like rogue spear because that game concentrated all there efforts on stealth and gun play and deus ex had a much larger expansion of gameplay elements.The only game you could possibly compare deus ex to is system shock 2,which i felt was much better then Deus x even.
