Really. So even though the 4 AP cost for Sneak is already so prohibitive as to be basically unusable, in your mind it's still too powerful and needs to be nerfed or removed.

To be blunt, I do not care at all, in any way, if anyone chooses to abuse Sneak to solo fights, making them take 5 times longer. That's tedious and not fun, but if someone wants to sabotage their own experience like that, they should feel free to do so. There are a billion ways to cheese the system in this game, its not feasible to stomp out each and every single one.

I do care that Sneak is not useful for non-cheesers who are probably the majority of players.

And in D:OS2 you have to spend one entire Talent point to take Guerilla. I don't see why Guerilla can't be a game-changer like Lonewolf or Savage Sortilege is. I believe the consensus is that Lonewolf is plain broken.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, buffing stealth in general might make stealth + Lonewolf too broken, but hey Lonewolf is already broken anyway, right?

In BG2 Tactics mod (Sword Coast Stratagems), they identified that sneak backstab multipliers were incredibly powerful, so they nerfed it by allowing enemy mages / priests to cast Detect Illusion / Detect Invisibility / Invisibility Purge / True Seeing / True Sight if they suspected an invisible character were nearby. They were scripted to do it automatically based on your proximity if they were able to cast one of those spells, and most packs of dangerous hostiles would have a mage or priest, so you had to get in there quickly and backstab & run unless you cheesed it with the Cloak of Non-Detection.

If I remember correctly, the Tactics mod also allowed you to turn on pre-buffing for enemies, so even if you got a backstab in, you'd better hope the mage / priest was dead or they'd have Stoneskin / Protection from Magical Weapons and a whole lot of other stuff up instantly.
