Hello.

I have started the game like 20 times because I like to experiment. The game is great btw, but I have found several glitches/bugs that are quite infuriating for me to say the least.

+ Are hitboxes ok? I say this because they seems tied to camera angles. A lot of times when clicking on an NPC to start a conversation I got a warning like if I had stolen something. This has happened to me a lot of times. It is as if the mouse pointer would have reacted to something beyond the NPC. A lot of times too it's impossible to click something at point of view, unless you rotate the camera. I feel camera needs a lot of loving (like implementing tilting and different angles).

+ Game swapping main character for anyone else before starting some conversations (mainly when approaching some scripted ones), screwing you up totally at some places. Like my main character is the selected one with Pet pal and it loses focus for no apparent reason, and a fight ensues.

+ Companions stopping following the leader when there are hazardous areas (surfaces) or ladders. I see the logic in this, but there could be some toggle to override/force it.

+This happens a lot for me too. When clicking COMBINE button in crafting screen, character starts to run a marathon going somewhere. Have to cancel quickly and hit the button again. The second time it works. This seems tied to my first complaint. It's like the game thinks you are clicking outside that button.

+ Sometimes, one companion gets cut off from combat if combat initiates arriving from some areas (arches, doors, etc).

Best regards. I want to hear your opinions. Did these annoyances happened to you too?

It's not that the game swaps characters when NPC initiates dialog. Or actually, it does. But the reason is, NPC would start dialog with the character closest to them - only a few dialogs are forced to be with the main character. So when dialog starts, the game would change selection to the character who is talking. You just need to pay attention to which character is closest to the NPC. This could be a pain sometimes, I know, but it's not really a bug.

Companions stop following you when they can't find a path around hazardous surfaces: yes they do that. It's part of their AI. They're too smart for their own good. But not a bug.

Some companions do not enter combat at the same time as others: this happens occasionally when they are out of sight of the enemies who initiate combat. Usually when they are just around a corner or something like that. Wouldn't say this is a bug either. That's just how it works.

IIRC, sometimes you can click "through" NPC and accidentally pick up something not yours - probably a hitbox issue. But I think they improved this in an old patch.

Thanks. Yes I concur that most of these aren't bugs but they are frustating and infuriating for me. Maybe if the game could allow for formations while outside combat...

Other than that, DOS 2 is an amazing game. I am having a blast playing it and experimenting with different parties.

I find scripted conversations initiating with whatever companion happens to be closest to them so annoying and detracting from the RP. I mean, is it my journey or their journey? Like the void should address me and not my companions.

The old system where companions couldn't talk to NPCs was so much better. Sure you had to put Persuasion etc on your main but you'd want to do that anyway, otherwise you know, your main is just this character that doesn't talk, doesn't do anything outside of fights. It's like, who am I playing as?

Hear ye, hear ye! Bishop Alexander was slain by seagulls! Culprits still at large!
